Goldilocks USA Chef of the Week: Chef Sheldon Simeon

Born and raised in Hawaii, Simeon proves to be passionate for introducing the creative, unique, and cultural mixture of Hawaiian cuisines along with Filipino cuisines. 


Not only does he live in one of the happiest places to live in the United States, he also took an internship a few years back at the happiest place in the world - Walt Disney World! Later on, Sheldon competes in Bravo Network’s Top Chef: Seattle and takes on the title as a finalist winning favorite. Now, he is the executive chef at Mala Wailea and recently opened his signature restaurant Migrant Maui, located in the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on Maui.

Sheldon has held several awards and titles including Hawaii Magazine’s Top 5 Best Hawaiian Chefs of 2014, FOOD & WINE Magazines 2014 People’s Best New Chef for the Pacific & Northwest and James Beard Finalist, Governor’s Commendation.
